At Southeast Marine Services, we often receive letters or e-mails that we are very proud of. As such, we would like to share them with you, our valued customer.
Larry:
With customer service like you give, I will be back and will send my friends too. It is nice to deal with people who give good service.
Thanks,

Larry:
Ever since we first met at the Oakland Sail Expo, you have given me excellent free advice and great support during the construction of our boat. On top of that, when we finally got around to purchasing all the electrical equipment, you gave us superior service and fast turnaround, plus went the extra mile and delivered a carload of stuff to us, saving us the shipping charges. We really appreciated you and Phyllis coming over to see our project during one of your hectic California trips. You were only one of our two suppliers that made that effort.
It has been a complete pleasure to do business with you and I look forward to doing so again. Rolls all the way.

Larry:
Attached is a photo of the battery & control center setup that you designed and fabricated for my house in New Mexico. With very little maintenance, the system has worked flawlessly for the past 2-1/2 years. Thanks for steering me away from all the solar scene hype and directing me to a practical solution that meets my electricity generating needs. I am very grateful that I stumbled onto Southeast Marine Services via the internet and have enjoyed working with you through the development of my project. Best wishes.

Larry:
With three different batteries I never knew what was really going. Since I installed the Shoreline Battery Monitor I know the exact voltage of each battery at all times. I can also tell if my battery charger and/or alternator is working. Thanks for your assistance with getting it set up.

"BS" MEANS BEST SERVICE
You'll find more than a few snake oil salesmen at places like the Sail Expo in Oakland, California. Sometimes you need deep draft overshoes to wade through the BS.
But from Larry Janke at Southeast Marine Services, the only BS you'll get turns out to be "Best Service."
I've relied heavily on Larry's advice and services during the past several years as I've prepared our 37 foot sloop to cruise the South Pacific. Alternators; regulators; wind and water generators; solar panels: Larry sells stuff that works really works .
Buying stuff is easy. Bolting it on is altogether another matter. Larry has been there when I needed him to patiently hold my hand while I fumbled with equipment installation.
You'll get a lot of BS from Larry Janke. But the BS stands for BEST SERVICE!

Dear Larry
I am delighted with the DuoGen I purchased from you. I can’t imagine a cruising sailboat without one. The water generator gives me all the electricity I need when under sail and is very easy to use. According to the book it does not slow the boat up appreciatively and I have found that to be true.
The manufacturer makes no claim for the wind generator being a power house but it does help keep the batteries charged while at anchor. Unlike other wind generators it is very quiet. It is easy to shift between water and wind generation. The water prop is not going to be mistaken for bait by a shark as is the case with other brands.
Thanks for recommending it to me. Cruising is a lot more fun now.

While traveling up and down the US East Coast, to the Bahamas & beyond aboard our 56' Custom Steel Bruce Roberts, we encounter some of the most extreme offshore sailing conditions. We have tried and tested numerous different wind generators and have found that the D-400 “takes the cake!!!” For 3 days, in winds upwards of 65 knots, output was over 50 amps. Over 600 watts from a 400 watt rated unit, with no vibration or below deck noise. When your auto pilot and on board navigation equipment is working hardest, you can feel confident that your batteries will stay charged. The unique self feathering design automatically keeps blades from self destructing. In the 15-25 knot Trade Winds you can enjoy those sundowners and a conversation, D-400 is whisper quiet. As a renewable energy business - by cruisers for cruisers, we will not recommend anything that we would not use. Cameron & Leighia Murray Trans Marine, LLC. Dear Larry and Fred @ www.semarine.com,
I am writing to you to express our appreciation of the two D400 wind generators you sold us. The first generator has been operating for two winters and has converted every storm quietly to electricity. In the fall of 2009 our old-home made generator was damaged in high winds when a tarp blew off the dock and into the blades. If this generator was a D400 we could have repaired it for under $100. Alas the blades on the 20 year old beast are quite complicated. So we replaced it with our second D400. At this time I estimate 80% of the elecectricity we use comes from our D400's. Thanks again for your help in designing the system, and promptly sending the few parts we have needed over the years
Sincerely
Dave & Susan Abel
Sitting here in Man-O-War Cay in the Bahamas, we have a variety of wind turbines around us. Our D400 wind turbine, even at wind speeds in the 30's and gusting over 40 kts, is far quieter than the Air-X's and Breezes, and KISS' near by.
Cheers, Rick Emmerson
